+ Pharrell Williams will fill Cee Lo Green’s soon-to-be-vacated coach’s seat on Season 7 of “The Voice.” To make the announcement, @NBCTheVoice tweeted a photo of four empty chairs, one of which was topped by Pharrell’s famous hat, before officially confirming the news a few minutes later. + An album of previously unreleased Michael Jackson music will street on May 13. XSCAPE comprises eight songs handpicked by L.A. Reid, with Timbaland serving as lead producer. According to a press release, the music was culled from “four decades of material on which Jackson had completed his vocals.” (MTV News)
+ Five-year-old cancer patient Miyah got to meet her idol, Nicki Minaj, with some help from Washington Wizards player John Wall. Wall posted an Instagram video of himself with Miyah with the hashtag #HelpMiyahMeetNicki, which got the “Pound The Alarm” rapper’s attention. See photos and videos from Nicki and Miyah’s meet up. + Legendary DJ and producer Frankie Knuckles passed away on Monday. He was 59. A pioneer of house music and the club scene that ensued, the Chicago-based artist also worked with a range of pop stars, including Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, and Depeche Mode. (Chicago Tribune)
+ Want to literally download an album as it passes over you in space? Former Red Hot Chili Peppers member John Frusciante’s new album, Enclosure, is aboard a satellite called Sat-JF14, and those that download the satellite’s app can download the LP for free before its Apr. 8 release. (Billboard)
