Nothing's impossible for the I-G-G-Y.
When we last saw Iggy Azalea, the Australian emcee was bragging about how "Fancy" she is. (You already know.) But on "Impossible Is Nothing," the latest song teased off of The New Classic (out Apr. 22), Ms. I-G-G-Y is taking her confidence and paying it forward to listeners who may have given up hope.
"You could do it too, young world/ I remember being exactly like you, young girl/ But wait, you could do it, too, young man/ See you'll be fine as long as on your own two you stand," the 2014 Woodies performer opens the downtempo track, trying to convince her most downtrodden Azaleans that no obstacle can't be overcome.
Then, the MTV Artist to Watch alumna turns the empowerment back on herself, declaring: "I shall never let 'em see me sweat/ Promise to want for more until my very last breath/ Promise to blaze a path and leave a trail for the next/ And never sell out my soul for any number on a check." Damn, talk about mantras. We may or may start saying that in the mirror every morning TBQH.
Even though "Impossible Is Nothing" has a very introductory vibe to it, à la Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday opener, "I'm The Best," it's actually song No. 8 according to the just-unveiled, official The New Classic track listing. Speaking of which, we now know that Rita Ora is featured on a song titled "Black Widow." BRB, reveling in the endless possibilities of the universe.
