Tyga’s Escher-Inspired ‘Wait For A Minute’ Video Featuring Justin Bieber Means We Photoshopped Tyga & Justin Into More Famous Art

Wanna make out with a girl, Justin? First yer gonna have to navigate through this maze of paparazzi!

If we say, “Dutch graphic artist M.C. Escher,” you might be all like, “Who?” But, according to Tyga and Justin Bieber’s new “Wait For A Minute” video, these pop stars 1.) know who Escher is and 2.) they must have studied his famous “Convex and Concave 1955 Lithograph” in Art History class! (Or whatever University Of Phoenix online course they had time to take in between tour dates.)

For the record, this is what Justin and Tyga are up against in “Wait For A Minute.”

Greenscreen’d onto a set inspired by Escher’s “Convex and Concave” drawing, Tyga and Justin spend the majority of their video trying to outrun the paparazzi so they can go on a damn date. But much like Escher’s mind-bending, one-staircase-ends-where-another-begins piece, THERE IS NO ESCAPE.

In their just-released clip, Tyga and Justin find hot girls to take home, which is awesome and all, but they can’t seem to outrun those pesky onlookers! How’s anyone supposed to hit it when there’s a hoard of fans and flashing bulbs cornering you at every twist, turn, and surrealist staircase? (#ArtImitatingLife. Or is it #LifeImitatingArt?)

But wait… What if we did these boys a favor and Photoshopped them onto other paintings? Like, Salvador Dali’s “The Persistence Of Memory”? (Because how’re you supposed to “wait for a minute” when all the clocks keep melting?) Or Velazquez’s “Las Meninas”? Or Georges Seurat’s “A Sunday Afternoon”? Or Edward Hopper’s “Nighthawks”?

Let’s see what happens:

Salvador Dali’s “The Persistence Of Memory.”

Georges Seurat’s A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte

Diego Velázquez’s “Las Meninas”

Edward Hopper’s “Nighthawks”

Hey, we might be on to something!! One step into these paintings, guys, and all future date nights will be safer than the “Mona Lisa” trapped behind glass at the Louvre. You can thank us later! (We accept cash, checks, Western Union, and steak dinners.)
