Just when our temporarily blinded eyes had finally healed after Katy Perry's stunning 2013 MTV EMA laser light show performance of "Unconditionally" on Sunday night, BAM! -- she drops a video trailer for the second Prism single's forthcoming video.

Basically, Katy did the metaphorical equivalent of chucking a jar of sulfuric acid at our eyes, and we're totally OK with it. (One of us watches "American Horror Story: Coven." Guess which one. OK, it's me.)

While we won't see the full scope of Katy's video until it premieres Nov. 19 on MTV at 7:53 p.m. ET, here's what we can judge from the clip. First and foremost, IT LOOKS REALLY GOOD AND NEAT AND ALSO WE LIKE IT. For more nuanced findings, read on.

OK, well this is, um, a lot to take in. Let's just try to break it down as best we can, K? There's a car crash, which Katy says is a metaphor for falling in love in this MTV News interview. Oh, and the burning bed? Has SOMEBODY been rewatching their worn-out VHS recording of Farrah Fawcett's iconic TV movie? (Again, it's me.)

Oh, and then there are the owls. Owls! Who doesn't love owls? Nobody, that's who -- or, should we say ,"HOO"? Ahahahahhahahaha! *Laughs uproariously at the empty, cobweb-covered chair next to him*

Styled like a scene from Imperialist Russia on the verge of its decadent collapse (or perhaps the mature hangover to Ariana Grande's bubbly "Right There"), "Unconditionally" is giving us some serious, full-throttle tragic glamour. All in all, the video looks to be an antidote to the total cute overload of "Roar" (not that there's anything wrong with that), and we can't wait to be cured.
