Watch Miley Cyrus’ Twangy Cover Of Lana Del Rey’s ‘Summertime Sadness’ (VIDEO)

Miley’s got that summertime sadness, y’all.

As if on a mission to prove the Miley Cyrus haters (Frowners?) wrong about her vocal abilities, Miley popped into BBC Radio 1’s “Live Lounge” to record a cover of Lana Del Rey’s delightfully dolorous “Summertime Sadness.” In it, the EMA winner adds her own country twang to the vocals and replaces the trip-hop string instrumental with some good ol’ guitars.

Wow, this week has been incredible for the Smilers. First, we got Miley’s show-stopping “Wrecking Ball” performance at the EMA on Sunday night, and now this? Well, we’ve got a message to all the Frowners out there, but we’re gonna let our good friend Winona Ryder in “Heathers” deliver it.

Ungh, this growling cover is even better than that “We Can’t Stop Summertime Sadness” Lana-meets-Miley mashup that DATABOY cooked up a couple months ago. Dare we say that we might love Miley’s cover even more than HAIM’s take on “Wrecking Ball” that they recorded during their own “Live Lounge” visit? (Natalie Imbruglia levels of #TORN over here.)

OMG! Wait, what if Ms. Del Rey drops by the London-based station to record a cover of “The Wire“?! Then we’ll have this endless loop of HAIM covering Miley covering Lana covering HAIM covering Miley ad infinitum! Ahhhhh, recursive pop glory we want to crawl all the way into your deepest, darkest depths and never leeeeeave…
