Please Watch This ‘Purrrr’-fect Video Of Kate Davis Singing Katy Perry’s ‘Roar’ At The Humane Society. BECAUSE CATS!!

Watch Kate Davis sing “Roar” to a room full of cats. Then FALL IN LOVE WITH KATE DAVIS.

We’ve been privately stanning for folk/pop singer-songwriter Kate Davis for a while now (listen to “Movie” — it sounds just like an earthier Regina Spektor).

And what better way is there to expose y’all to Kate’s lush melodies, pitch-perfect vocals, and artful songwriting than by showing you this video of her singing Katy Perry’s “Roar” to a group of VERY ADOPTABLE cats at the The Humane Society Of New York?

Ummmm, BRB, quitting my job to go to the Humane Society and ADOPT ALL THE CATS.

Watch Kate Davis sing Katy Perry’s “Roar” to a room full of cats after the jump.

Rocking out on a standup bass with her backing guitarist and drummer, Kate performed a stripped-down rendition of “Roar” in, like we said, a room full of cats. Like, cat after cat after cat after cat after… What were we saying? Oh right. CATS!! Cats batting little toys, cats snuggling in blankets, cats staring wide-eyed at Kate and her musical cohorts… CATS.

The whole crew smiling, BECAUSE CATS!

In fact, we think these cats may have actually fallen so hard for Kate, they purred in rhythm! Listen closely…you’ll hear it.

Dunno who this bro is, but pretty sure this photo of him serenading a cat means he’s our future husband.

Or maybe that was us making inappropriate and should-be-private guttural noises from the soul-crushing cuteness?

Or, maybe this other cute bro holding an adorable cat is meant to be our future husband!

In conclusion? 1.) Kate Davis is an exceptionally talented multi-instrumentalist, so do yourself a favor and get acquainted with her immediately (notable songs include: “Only Growing Old” and “Smoke.” 2.) CATS ARE LITERALLY PERFECT. 3.) You should DEFINITELY adopt one of these literally perfect cats, then sing pop songs to it every night.
