EMA Flashback: Remember That Time Kanye West Crashed The EMA Stage In 2006?

It wouldn't be an award show without Kanye rushing the stage!

Happy 2013 MTV EMA week! In case you couldn't tell, we're soooo excited for Sunday night's show. And to celebrate, we're gonna spend the rest of this week reminiscing about past shows... with GIFs!

For instance, remember that time Kanye West crashed the EMA stage in 2006 (presumably after too many "sippy sippies")? Funny, Kanye never crashes stages!

Even though Kanye lost that particular Best Video award to Justice and stormed the stage with a rant or two about "sharing the wealth," the electronica duo was really cool about the whole thing. "You should've watched [our] video!" they responded with bemused grins. Props for good sportsmanship, guys. Props.

Whatever -- it wouldn't be an award show without a little Kanye Kontroversy!

Think we'll have anything like that happen this year? (PLEASE?) Can't say for sure, but here's what we DO know: Starting at 7 p.m. ET on Nov. 10, those sitting Stateside will get to watch a very special EMA New York City broadcast hosted by "Glee"'s Darren Criss, Cher Lloyd, and Andrew Schulz from "Guy Code"), and featuring live performances by Fall Out Boy, Jason Derulo, The Wanted, EMA backstage host Ariana Grande, and Austin Mahone. #AllTheSqueals

After that, we'll pan over to Amsterdam's Ziggo dome for the official EMA broadcast, featuring previously announced sets from Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Kings of Leon, Robin Thicke, Imagine Dragons, Afrojack, The Killers, Snoop Dogg, and Icona Pop!

Keep your eyes peeled for more "Remember The EMAs?" GIFs this week, and don't forget to tune in to the 2013 MTV EMA this Sunday night at 7 p.m. ET!
