Rick Ross Put The Teflon Don Hustle On This Remix Of Lorde's 'Royals'

Rick Ross put a gritty, urban spin on Lorde's "Royals."

Behind his Teflon Don persona, trademark tummy jiggle, and dizzying body ink party, Rick Ross is kiiiiiind of a visionary remixer.

Just a few weeks ago, the Maybach Music boss man put his own spin on Drake's "Hold On, We're Going Home," and now he's remixed and added a new verse to the "it" song of the moment: Lorde's "Royals."

In general, Rozay's "Royals" isn't too different from the original, save for some not-so-subtle Maybach Music Group shout-outs, and a fiery verse he squeezed in between the first and second chunks of Lorde's dreamy smash.

Naturally, while Lorde sings about not giving two effs about 'dat fame and rich lifestyle, Rick spits about some of his favorite topics: money, more money, and hot babes: "She wanna watch 'Scandal'/ I wanna count a handful."

Moral of the story? While this remix features an unexpected pop culture pairing, sonically Rick Ross and Lorde end up sounding like a killer combo.

But we don't exactly see Rick Ross and Lorde filming a video any time soon -- Lorde probably wouldn't be caught dead near a fake pile of money, and Rick Ross probably wouldn't appear in any video without stacks of Benjamins on hand. But no matter! We can always "live that fantasy" through Ross' remix.
