Lorde obviously killed it on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon."
As expected, Lorde, the wise beyond her lyrics 16-year-old prodigy from New Zealand, totally nailed her "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" performance last night. Making her American TV debut, the supremely talented Kiwi artist absolutely demolished two tracks off of her recently released album, Pure Heroine: the No. 1 hit "Royals" and "White Teeth Teens." Like, we're talking graphic, R-rated vocal slay-age, so don't say we didn't warn you!
Watch Lorde perform "Royals" and "White Teeth Teens" on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" after the jump.
Decked out in a white dress that so perfectly embodies Lorde's "I care, but not as much as you think I do" M.O., she handled her American TV debut like a total pro. Supported by a backing band dressed in #AllWhiteEverything, Lorde's silky bass vocals and witchy slithering was like something out of our wildest "The Craft"-inspired fantasies. Like, Fairuza Balk called! She says "#BOWDOWN."
Vaguely related: Whoever curated the ethereal lighting design for Lorde's performance should literally win an Oscar for "Most Flattering Lighting in This Plane and the Next." It's simply on another level, and I must have this ghostly Insta filter, like, stat.
