Keep calm, and listen to Smoke Jumpers’ “Roar” remix.
It’s been all quiet on the Katy Perry front ever since the singer appeared on “Good Morning America” on Sept. 6 to unveil the Prism album cover art. Even though “Roar” is amazing, inspirational, and the aural equivalent of making out with a unicorn on top of an even bigger unicorn whose owner has named “Empowermentia Q. World-Peace,” it’s only one song! That’s why we’re super jazzed to get our KatyCat paws on this Jump Smokers remix of the album’s smash lead single. It comes Katy-endorsed and everything!
Just heard some incredible roaring remixes for #ROAR by a few killah DJ’s like Cazzette, Jump Smokers, Treasurefingers & Brillz. Coming SOON

Listen to Katy Perry’s “Roar (Jump Smokers Remix)” after the jump.
It’s exactly the kind of music festival banger we need to distract ourselves from our ever-present Prism pangs! You know, like the fact that there’s still another 24 hours until the promotional single “Dark Horse” drops — not to mention the 35 days until her must-hear fall album comes out!! Nelly and Kelly Rowland called — THEY WANT THEIR “DILEMMA” BACK.
Anyway, back to the remix. Although Jump Smokers throw in some very “Call Me Maybe” strings at the beginning, this fist-pump-ready “Roar” remix doesn’t stay Carly Rae Jepsen for long. As soon as the first chorus drops, the EDM dance break sets in, and boy does it SET IN. Jump Smokers’ remix strikes the perfect balance between Katy’s uplifting original and beat-thumping EDM amazingness (without turning into mind-numbing generic “untze-untze” fare). Give it a listen below.
