Katy Perry’s VMA “Roar” performance got us to like sports! HOW….?!
So, in case it wasn’t obvious by our certain “Je ne said EVERYTHING,” we’re not exactly the most knowledgeable when it comes to #LeSports. But, Katy Perry’s live debut of “Roar” tonight at the VMAs’ finale may have just changed all that! Powerful music has that effect! One listen to Donna Summer’s “MacArthur Park,” and we start leaving cakes in the rain like nobody’s business!
Braided and laced up in some fierce boxer regalia, the “Dark Horse” singer entered the ring and took no prisoners. Ugh, we wish we could be that agile in any sorta arena of physical activity. Katy was ducking and weaving, throwing her dukes up, and even jumping rope like champ! Like, we were super good at jumping rope in elementary school, but it was a little more of the “Cinderella, dressed in yellow” type — not the “I’M BUILDING UP MY CALVES SO I CAN CRUSH YOUR NECK WITH THEM” kind o’ jumping rope.

When Katy hopped up on the ropes, we knew we were in for it. WE. HEARD. HER. ROOOOOOOOOAR!
LOVED the Brooklyn Bridge backdrop!
Cool! Was this intentional Katy? An “Homage de Légendtine” if you will?
…Well, that shut us up!
