M.I.A. visits an underground rave in her "Bring The Noize" video.
It would be a bit of an understatement to say that hip-hop/dancehall queen M.I.A. doesn't shy away from controversy. In fact, she might even embrace it (see: "Born Free," last year's Super Bowl halftime show finger-flip, that time other she played the Grammys mere days before giving birth... Wait a second, what am I talking about? That was AWESOME). And yet, despite those pesky FCC fines, label troubles, and restraining orders from her ex-fiancé, there's just no stopping Hurricane M.I.A., especially after watching her chaotic new "Bring The Noize" video, which is slated to appear on her forthcoming album, Matangi (release date very, very TBD).

In her club-centric "Bring The Noize" video, any political statement of M.I.A.'s is a little less obvious than in previous years (save for some potentially Hindu/cow/turban imagery), but that doesn't mean the fast-talking chanteuse has any intention of slowing down. Where she lacks in political finger-pointing, M.I.A. makes up for in blink-and-you-miss-it strobe lights, one-person dance parties, and a scene where she kind of pantomimes spitting out a tooth ("If it's like a rotten tooth, you gotta spit it out"). Blech. But if you're feeling a little sensory overload, just focus on M.I.A's bright pink wig and crazy gold
talons nails -- ah, there, much better.
