Timeflies romance a few sultry ladies in their "I Choose U" video.
Happy Timeflies Tuesday, everybody! Oh, you don't know what that is? Let us help: Pop/freestyle/hip-hop masterminds Timeflies (vocalist Cal Shapiro and producer Rob Resnick) got their start by releasing viral freestyle rap songs, remixes, and covers on YouTube every Tuesday night (see their take on Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" and Kansas' "Wayward Son"). The duo got SO popular via "Timeflies Tuesdays" that now they're performing everywhere from MTV's latest "Artist To Watch" showcase to the 2013 mtvU Woodies Festival! Well, now that it's Tuesday, allow us to pay our respects with Timeflies' brand-new video for "I Choose U."
Watch Timeflies' "I Choose U" video after the jump.
Directed by Mildred Delamota, "I Choose U" has Cal Shapiro wandering around a junkyard professing his love to not one, but THREE gorgeous ladies, and each one's more scantily clad than the next. Player alert! How's that saucy line go? "I bet you say that to all the girls." Well, in Cal's case, he does in fact "say that to all the girls," but we're sure he means what he says in the moment! Anyway, when Cal isn't hitting on a crew of hot junkyard workers/models, he's up in da clurb with his main man Rob, who's spinning tracks and generally turning the dance floor into a sweaty mess of hormones and strobe lights. Finally, Cal manages to decide on a leading lady (#clubproblems) and leads her out of the club for we're guessing is an early morning/post-club snack. Yep, that's gotta be it.
Oh, and we're not done yet: In honor of "Timeflies Tuesday," we've got a very special video on deck of Timeflies performing "Swoon" at mtvU's 2013 Spring Fix at New Jersey's Six Flags Great Adventure! And remember how they drew a HUGE crowd during their performance of "I Choose U," "For You," and "Swoon" at the 2013 mtvU Woodies Festival? Seriously, Timeflies don't just belong in the club -- they can rock any region. Check out Timeflies' Spring Fix and Woodies Festival performances below, and keep an eye out for their forthcoming album, which is expected to drop sometime this spring or summer.
