Adam Lambert covered Rihanna's "Stay," and it's as phenomenal as you'd imagine.
Rihanna basically brought the room to tears when she sang "Stay" at the 2013 Grammys, and perhaps that's what prompted Adam Lambert to tweet his own cover of the singer's ballad. And while it's pretty much our job to take words and put them in to understandable sentences, we are having the hardest time EVER expressing the absolute beauty that is Adam's "Stay" cover. It's raw, gusty, and just the right amount of emotional, so let's all reach for the tissues and ugly cry together. Yo, GLAMBERTS, we have a new job to do: petition for a Rihanna/Adam duet at next year’s Grammys. Y'all in?
Watch Adam Lambert cover Rihanna's "Stay" after the jump.
The "Trespassing" singer tweeted the short video (which you can and should watch below), and true to form, NAILED the song with his own personal style. Well, technically he only sang the first 36 seconds of "Stay" and then proceeded to break our hearts when he didn't finish it (seriously, WHERE ARE THOSE TISSUES?). Now we're only left with our imaginations of Adam slaying the entire song and, obviously, serenading us with it for Valentine's Day. And then we imagine that he asks us to grab a latte and split a delicious pastry at a local coffee shop in Paris... (Don't judge. It's our fantasy.)
