Adele is among those to make the Academy Award short list for "Best Original Song."

+ The 85th Annual Academy Awards are only a couple of months away! Adele, Katy Perry, The Black Keys, Rick Ross, Arcade Fire, and Fiona Apple are among 75 nominees on the Oscar short list for "Best Original Song." The final nominations will be announced Jan. 10. (Rolling Stone)

+ The Rock And Roll Hall of Fame announced their new inductees, which for the first time were voted on by fans. The 2013 Hall of Famers are Public Enemy, Donna Summer, Rush, Heart, Randy Newman, and Albert King. (MTV News)

+ Avril Lavigne and fiancé Nickelback's Chad Kroeger have been working together on her album, so it's only fitting that she would release a cover of his band's blockbuster hit "How You Remind Me." (MTV News)
