Brit rockers Morning Parade return with the hazy 'Born Alone.'
We last heard from Morning Parade in February when we premiered their "Us and Ourselves" video. Their self-titled debut album dropped last month, and now they're about to take off on a headlining tour that'll take them across the U.S. On the strength of elegiac yet gritty songs like "Born Alone."
"Born Alone" somehow brings together a lot of our favorite elements of rock songs, like the shoegazey sound of Silversun Pickups and the gruff yet melodic vocals of Arctic Monkeys. The clip is mainly performance heavy and features the guys passionately singing the kind of lyrics that you chant loudly on a long drive home. "In my silence/ I am strong/ When I'm quiet/ I belong." We can't promise we'll stay silent on this jam, but we're definitely listening to every word.
