There aren't many things I find quite as fulfilling on a Saturday afternoon than curling up on my couch in an adult onesie with a cup of full-fat hot chocolate and becoming intimately involved with a Lifetime original movie. (Haters to the left.) So you can imagine my excitement when I found out that not only is the original Lifetime movie "The Client List" becoming a regular series (based on a prostitution ring uncovered in Odessa, Texas, in 2004), but '90s movie and pop ICON Jennifer Love Hewitt, the star of the show, made a music video to help promote it. Best day ever?
Jennifer brings her milkshake (and lingerie) to the yard in a remake of the classic "Big Spender" (made popular by Shirley Bassey in the 1960s). In the video, Jennifer walks down the hall of the massage parlor where she makes her thousands of "happy ending" dollars. The hallway leads to a stage where Jennifer strips down in front of a group of men, Broadway revue style, as they shower her with the things that every girl wants -- cash money and unlimited access to black American Express cards. In the words of ATL rapper Lil Scrappy, "get dat paper."
"The Client List" music video might be a departure from Jennifer's past forays into the music world ("Barenaked," anyone?), but we ain't hating in the least -- JLH has a great sense of humor, and the girl can actually sing. And frankly, we wouldn't mind spending every Saturday Lifetime hangover recovery relaxing session with her. #catwoman4life
