We've heard of a double-neck guitar, but this is beyond cray-cray: it's five people playing one guitar to cover Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know" and nailing it to the wall. Yup, it's all there: percussion, the bass line, chords, even lead parts, all thanks to a single instrument and five pairs of extremely talented hands. Time to sign up for guitar lessons again.

The ambitious performance comes from the Canadian band Walk Off the Earth and singer Sarah Blackwood, who earned the Aussie breakthrough band's attention for their spot-on rendition. "I know who to ask for help with acoustic versions of 'Somebody': Walk Off The Earth. Hilarious and brilliant," Gotye tweeted. Singer Kimbra, whose part Blackwood handles on the cover, added her applause on Facebook: "This is truly awesome! Now, THAT'S team work."

We agree! We can think of a few more artists we'd like to see get the one-guitar treatment -- the Smiths and Radiohead come to mind -- but maybe Walk Off The Earth should go all-in and start doing Van Halen and Guns N' Roses covers. Power chords and finger-tapping solos? We're sure they can handle 'em. Judging by the band's YouTube page, though, the impressive cover might be a one-off: The rest of their sweet-sounding videos find Walk Off the Earth's members playing their own instruments. Not that we're complaining.
