We’re from the school of thought that if you add Fleetwood Mac and/or Stevie Nicks to any situation, said situation will undoubtedly become at least 80 percent better (totally scientific estimate). And we’re not the only ones who think so. Britney Spears recently posted a new mashup to her Tumblr — “Till The Dream Ends” combines Britney’s “Till The World Ends” with Fleetwood Mac’s 1977 classic “Dream,” and the result will live at the top of our most-played songs list for what’s sure to be an embarrassing amount of time.
“Till The Dream Ends” uses Britney’s “Till The World Ends” instrumentals under Stevie Nicks’ famous haunting vocals: “Thunder only happens when it’s raining/Players only love you when they’re playing.” (I hurrrd that, Stevie.) Brit’s “Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh” refrain picks up at the end of the track, and if you’re not dancing by then, well, you’re a robot.
“Dream”’s lyrics about dangerous weather combined with Brit’s postapocalyptic underworld dance party have us about to get our extreme couponing on and go stock up on some bottled water — why are you ladies so worried about disasters? We’re pretty sure the asteroid will spare you!
