Arizona rockers The Maine were a long way from home when we caught up with them for a stripped-down "Buzzworthy Live" session in Brazil. We bet they totally missed hanging out in their local snow-covered desert when they were hard chilling at the beach in swim trunks with a round of Snooki-size cocktails. (We didn't actually see that go down, except in our winter daydreams. It's officially socks season in the ol' U. S. of A. Sad face.)
But The Maine were down south to rock, quietly, offering up a stripped-down take on "Waiting for My Sun to Shine" for our cameras. You'll see singer John O'Callaghan and (freshly bearded!) guitarist Jared Monaco soaking up the black-and-white sun on a busy city street. The wind's blowing, John and Jared are gazing into each other's eyes -- it's intimate, y'all. And the duo turns the rock anthem, a guitar-packed track from this month's new album, Pioneer, into a simple acoustic ballad that stays sensitive, even as police sirens blare by in the background.
Extra props for John's cutoff buffalo T-shirt and Jared's sick Clubmasters -- these guys are roaming the world in style.
