If we didn't know the part was already given to Michelle Williams, we'd guess that Rihanna was lobbying for the role of Marilyn in the forthcoming Marilyn Monroe biopic. Sporting some classically retro blond wavy locks (part Marilyn, part Jayne Mansfield, part Tippi Hedren when you really think about it), Rihanna looks super fierce and super bombshell while posing for the November 2011 cover of Vogue UK. Decked in a couture strapless gown, Rihanna's makeup is simple and actually rather subdued for the usually daring "Cheers (Drink To That)" singer.
But don't despair, folks. The bold and brave Rihanna we've come to love definitely makes a cameo in her extremely candid and open interview. Inside the issue, Rihanna refutes her good girl gone bad persona insisting, "That's not me. That's a part I play. You know, like it's a piece of art, with all these toys and textures to play with." On her somewhat tumultuous private life, a strong and confident RiRi admits, "Look, God doesn't give any more than you can handle. I had to get through a lot of ups and downs -– big downs –- and a lot of trial and error to get where I am now."
Well, trial and error seems to have worked out for ya, Rihanna, 'cause where you are now is basically a magical land where you're super famous, you're super rich, you're super hot and everyone loves you. So, you win.
