Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to premiere their new video, "The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie," on MTV Aug. 17 at 7:53 p.m. ET. And bonus alert: After the video premieres on Wednesday, stay tuned for "MTV First: Red Hot Chili Peppers," an additional 30-minute live Q & A with the band and MTV News' James Montgomery on MTV.com. Chili Peppers fans, you can tweet your questions at @MTVNews using the hashtag #AskRHCP. But before that happens, we've got a sneak peek of "The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie."
In the exclusive preview of the Marc Klasfeld-directed video, we see the Peppers up to their usual tricks -- playing rock and roll on a rooftop while fans rush to catch the performance in what feels like an homage to U2's classic "Where The Streets Have No Name" video. Frontman Anthony Kiedis is shirtless per usual (not mad at it), but he still looks dapper in a black blazer (and amazing mustache!) as the band surveys a Cali-sun-bleached crowd wandering around to the familiar funk-rock sound that's kept the band impossibly famous for nearly three decades.
"The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie" is the newest single off of Red Hot Chili Peppers' forthcoming 10th (!) studio album, I'm With You, slated for release Aug. 30.
