POSTED: Big Sean Talks Working With Kanye West, Cooking Shows

Fledgling rapper and 2011 MTV VMA Best New Artist nominee Big Sean is this week's MTV Posted artist and a welcome addition to our "Fab 5" series of burgeoning emcees. The Detroit-via-California rapper linked up with Kanye West in 2005 before signing to West's G.O.O.D. Music label two years later. At the same time, Sean was building his name around a series of highly acclaimed mixtapes dubbed "Finally Famous."

With the recent release of his debut album, also titled Finally Famous, Big Sean spoke to MTV about his new life in the spotlight. In the first video, the rapper discusses the pros and cons of fame as well as getting his grandmother's approval, despite putting college on hold for music. After talking about the influence of underground legend Tech N9ne on his own movement, the rapper tells you what it's like to have Kanye as your boss. "I'll always have to go to Kanye for approval. He's the boss," Sean says. "But he lets me be creative and do what I wanna do."
