Video Premiere: Theophilus London, 'Last Name London'

It was only a month ago that New York MC Theophilus London released "Last Name London," the official first single from his upcoming debut LP, Timez Are Weird These Days. Now we've got the dark, haunting, anxious video, which sees the rapper and his hypeman take their trash talk to the basketball court.

In scenes reminiscent of that "Chappelle's Show" skit with Prince on the basketball court, an inappropriately dressed, yet perpetually stylish, London emerges from a darkened fog ready to both dance and dunk. In between actual dunks -- or is that a lowered rim? -- we get cheerleaders doing a sort of slow-mo Double Dutch while London rhymes about how to pronounce his name and getting naked on Skype. (Hey now!) If that's what he wears on the court, we're guessing his "going out" wear is a tux with top hat and tails.

Still, we'll give it up to London's crossover, which would probably blaze by us nine out of 10 times. But Theo, we're ready to take you on in a game of H-O-R-S-E. You know where to find us.
