Now that you've watched Swedish pop legend Robyn show off her killer choreo in her new "Call Your Girlfriend" video, let's meet the talented young artist she's bringing on tour with her, Diamond Rings. In addition to his makeup brush prowess, the multitalented Toronto native writes and sings deep yet catchy songs about love, hope and heartbreak, and accompanies himself on what seems like every instrument imaginable. The ex-D'Urbervilles frontman is currently opening for Robyn in the U.S. and Canada in support of his debut album, Special Affections.
Diamond Rings (aka John O) sat down with our friends over at the NewNowNext blog to talk about his musical philosophy, celebrity crushes and his feelings about actual diamond rings (ironically, he's not big into jewelry). He also treated NNN to intimate acoustic performances of his songs "Something Else" and "Wait & See." For more on Diamond Rings' glammed-up soul pop, watch his performance of "Wait & See" and more interview footage and his official video for "It's Not My Party" over at NewNowNext.
