If there's anything that's making this excruciatingly long countdown to May 23 (Lady Gaga's Born This Way release date) easier, it's the fact that Gaga seems like she might just release the entire album song by song before then. Yesterday we got our hands on the Pat Benatar-ian "Hair," and up to bat today: "Marry The Night."
Lady Gaga released the track via her FarmVille spin-off, GagaVille (confession: We don't 100 percent get it either), but never mind that -- let's just focus on how "Marry The Night" is yet another home run by Mother Monster. We haven't even finished our first cup of coffee yet, and all we wanna do is hit the club!
"Marry The Night" is the perfect "getting ready" track -- a song dedicated to the hours you spend picking out your outfit, doing and redoing your makeup, and thinking about all the fun you're going to have with your GFs that evening (before you end up on your couch eating Ramen noodles at 2 a.m.) We're loving the '90s vibe, and is anyone else picking up a little of Jennifer Lopez's "Waiting For Tonight" in the chorus?
"Marry The Night" is the fifth full-length song we've heard from Lady Gaga's Born This Way, and we definitely hear the new Gaga sound emerging loud and clear: '80s and '90s-inspired classic pop/dance songs, with the occasional (and much appreciated) sax solo thrown in for good measure. Love it X a million.
