Justin Bieber did it. The Jonas Brothers did it, too. Now, Katy Perry can scratch her name off of the list of Musicians Who've Covered "Friday" by Rebecca Black. Katy, Perry with the usual wink in her eye, prefaced the cover by telling her audience in Melbourne, Australia, that "all magical things… happen on Friday!"

If you listen carefully, you can even hear the guy behind the camera say, "No way!" when Katy hints that she's about to pay tribute to Rebecca, the girl whose song refuses to die. Well, way. It happened.

Is this, dare we say, the end of the trend? "Friday" has been talked about, referenced, tweeted, etc since March, yet people still seem to connect to the story every time they hear the song or get the chance to watch one of their favorite artists perform a tongue-in-cheek version of it. Some songs just last forever, it seems. Even if they're only meant to be enjoyed on the first day of the weekend.
