Katy Perry was in Melbourne, Australia to launch her new fragrance, Purr. The "California Gurl" looked positively demure in a patterned (yet shiny, as always) purple and black cocktail dress. The perfume, sold exclusively at Nordstrom, won't hit shelves (or the web) until November, but that means you have the whole summer to reek of sunscreen before you make that seismic shift to smelling like... well, whatever Katy Perry smells like.
Actually, according to the website for Purr, the scent includes "a delicate bouquet of jasmine blossom, pink freesia and Bulgarian rose, balanced by vanilla orchid, white amber, creamy sandalwood and musk." So, basically, Katy smells delicious.
"I'm absolutely thrilled to finally introduce me in a bottle," says Katy. Christina Aguilera may have bottled up a genie back in the day, but in modern times, we want our pop stars to let us borrow their nature aroma for at least a couple of hours. "It is an absolutely purrfect perfume that I hope leaves you meowing with delight!" she adds. In other words, if you're feeling frisky, now you can smell that way, too. Meow!
