The Buzz On: Karmin

YouTube has netted us some of our all-time favorite musical wonders of the Internet Age. There's Keenan Cahill, and oh, that one guy... Justin Bieber? But now it's time to get to know Karmin.

Karmin is an acoustic pop duo from Brookline, Massachusetts, and they've been making waves online since way back in 2010, which, in internet years, is a really long time. Karmin, Latin for "song," is made up of keyboardist Nick and vocalist Amy, who met at Berklee College of Music in Boston and have been recording songs together ever since. Just like every great future YouTube sensation, they post adorbz videos of their unique renditions of chart-topping hits on the web.

"Sweet," you're thinking, "Two attractive people from the East Coast who record nice, fun covers of pop songs." Sure, Karmin does record nice, fun covers of pop songs (see Adele's "Someone Like You" and Pink's "Less Than Perfect"), but the entire virtual world recently learned that Amy can not only sing, but homegirl is also a master emcee. SERIOUSLY. Don't let the Charlotte-from-"Sex And The City" façade fool you -- this girl can THROW. IT. DOWN.

Don't believe me? Check out Karmin's cover of Chris Brown's "Look At Me Now," and see more of their covers on their YouTube channel.

No offense, Busta Rhymes, but I think this girl just schooled you.
