Britney Spears and Adele couldn't be more different. One is a purring, American sex kitten whose album, Femme Fatale, is jam-packed with monster dance songs, rollicking in 21st century electro-pop. The other is a young British singer/songwriter whose newest album, 21 -- a soulful record that basks in the best kind of heartbreak and misery -- is breaking records both here and in her native England. Both ladies, however, are very much part of the cultural zeitgeist at the moment, with albums that speak volumes about how good music endures any amount of publicity (more for Britney, less for Adele).
A clever editor mash-up artist named Jarod Ripley has crafted an incredible mash-up (and accompanying video) that combines Adele's gospel-tinged "Rolling In The Deep" with Britney's "Till The World Ends." We can almost guarantee -- if you're either a Britney or Adele fan (or, like us, both) -- that you'll listen to "Rolling Till The World Ends" three or four times in a row, just for starters.
