Buzzworthy wants you, our loyal readers, to pick your favorite music, musicians, and music moments of 2010. From the most unbelievable videos to the songs you played over and over again, to the artists you obsessed over and the albums their year wouldn’t have been complete without. Buzzworthy obsessed about music all year long. Now it’s time for you to pick your favorites.
2010 was the year of the iPad, the tiger, Silly Bandz, and the musician! (Thanks, Twitter!) Think about it. Some of the biggest names on everyone’s lips were musicians. Musicians filled our iPods, minds, magazines, and Internet search history. When we weren’t busy reading their Tweets, we were Tweeting about them. Two of the entire Internet’s biggest players this year (besides Mark Zuckerberg) were Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga. We lived for Katy Perry’s hit songs, videos, latex outfits and love life. We hung on Kanye West’s every Tweet, word and musical move. Ke$ha kept us partying and forced us to come up with new and creative ways to use glitter and feathers. Taylor Swift’s fractured fairy tales and tales of heartbreak broke records when she released her third album, Speak Now. Nicki Minaj gathered an army of loyal followers months before she even released her debut album, Pink Friday. And our We The Kings worship, love for Demi Lovato and preoccupation with Paramore reached new heights.
So which artist was the ultimate, absolute artist you couldn’t stop obsessing over in 2010? The artist you couldn’t stop listening to, searching, blogging, reading about, Tweeting about and living for?
Vote now for the Artist You Couldn’t Stop Obsessing Over! Voting ends Sunday, Dec. 26, at 11:59pm ET. We’ll announce the video you picked as the Artist You Couldn’t Stop Obsessing Over in 2010 on Tuesday, Dec. 28!
