Bruno Mars burst onto the mainstream musical landscape when he teamed up with Travie McCoy on the smash hit "Billionaire," which was released in early 2010 and pretty much took over the rest of the year, as did B.o.B's "Nothin' On You," another breakthrough track of 2010, on which Bruno sweetly crooned. You also know some Bruno Mars songs you may not know you know; Bruno Mars cowrote Flo Rida's "Right Round" and Cee-Lo Green's runaway viral hit, "F*** You."

But Bruno Mars is much more than a featured artist on another major artist's song. He's a major artist in his own right. With his debut album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, featuring "Just The Way You Are," finally released, Bruno Mars is stepping out of the downstage darkness into the solo spotlight, showcasing his smooth voice and worldly influences that range from rock, reggae, and R&B to pop and hip-hop.

As he'll tell you in this exclusive MTV PUSH video, Bruno Mars is "just a dude that wants to sing." But he's also a dude who's destined to be a star.
