The star-studded lineup of 2010 MTV VMA musical performers just got a little brighter. Linkin Park will perform live at the 2010 MTV VMAs! Linkin Park will perform its hard-hitting single, “The Catalyst,” which skyrocketed to No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative and Rock Songs Chart–live on TV for the first-time ever.
Linkin Park joins an incredible roster of musicians scheduled to perform live at the 2010 MTV VMAs, including Usher, Paramore, Eminem, B.o.B., Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Drake and Florence + the Machine. Plus, house artist deadmau5 will be spinning original mixes and remixes and teaming up with Robyn, Travie McCoy and Jason Derulo for live performances too.
Linkin Park’s raw, bigger-than-all-of-us energy, massive sound, mashup of hard rock and live rap and viscous vocals, coupled with thought-provoking, consciousness-raising lyrics, have won the group legions of fans worldwide. And its live VMA performance of “The Catalyst,” from the A Thousand Suns album (Sept. 14) can only translate into an explosive VMA performance you’ll probably have to DVR and watch over and over again. You’ve been warned.
Also taking the 2010 MTV VMA stage that night to present awards are “The Social Network” ’s Justin Timberlake, Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield, Nicki Minaj, Ke$ha, Emma Stone, Penn Badgley, Trey Songz, Selena Gomez, Ashley Greene and Ne-Yo. And of course, Chelsea Handler, host of the 2010 MTV VMAs.
