VMA Report: Katy Perry Won't Go Down Without a Fight

"I never thought I'd be playing with the big dogs, but I guess I am," says self-proclaimed lady-smoocher Katy Perry, who's up for a Best Female Video VMA against the likes of heavy-hitters Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Rihanna and Idol phenom Jordin Sparks.

And while Perry admits that "the challenge is tough," she assures MTV News "I always put up a good fight."
