It seems like Ryan Adams always has something to gripe about. Last night he apparently pitched a fit in front of a Minneapolis audience … an encore presentation of his 2003 performance in the same city when he continuously complained about the sound system and talked smack about beloved local rocker Paul Westerberg. This time Ryan left Paul out of his ramblings but spent much of his 70-minute set bitching about the sound system. He moved around monitors, microphones and guitar pedals hoping to correct the problem. The crowd booed at the end of his ADD-riddled performance and he didn't come back for an encore.
Local newspaper the Star Tribune caught up with a couple members of his band after the gig and, well, they didn't seem to want to talk about was going on with Ryan. Guitarist Neal Casal dodged controversy by saying, "I just play guitar." While guitarist Jon Graboff was equally vague: "What can I say? Ryan's the boss." Nuff said.
