With Nelly Furtado's new video, "Do It." Still. We're loving the peacock tail's worth of Pantone brights, plus the easy, breezy chorus. And we think we figured out why -- is it just us, or does the song sound like a mash-up of old-school Madonna? We're thinking "Get Into the Groove" and "Burning Up." But, the song sounds even more suspiciously like the classic 1979 post-disco hit "Take Your Time (Do It Right)," by SOS. That song also happens to be one of the first-ever tracks produced by O.G. R&B powerhouse mix masters Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, who were also amongst the first to trick out tracks with the Roland TR-808, which happens to be a favorite tool of the trade of a certain mega-producer by the name of… Timbaland. This all makes so much sense, since Tim's no stranger to er… borrowing without asking -- he got himself into some hot (or at least lukewarm) water over the same track off Nelly's Loose album when he royally pissed off Finnish electro artist Janne Suni, who claims Tim jacked the track from him. Regardless, Nelly's made it her own, and she looks hotter than ever.
