RIP Gianfranco Ferre

When a legend passes, you feel a sadness, even if you're not familiar with their work. Well, ladies and gentleman, the man known as the "architect of fashion," Gianfranco Ferre passed away this weekend at the age of 62. The Italian designer with the architecture degree made his mark as the head designer of Christian Dior during the '90s as well as his own line, named after himself. Simple, clean and sophisticated, his designs were classic yet sexy. Check out what Giorgio Armani said of the man: "When I think of Gianfranco Ferre, the idea that comes immediately to mind is the dignity, the calm, the sense of responsibility that he brought to his work."
