Chanel Too Hot for Canada

Hey isn't our neighbor up north supposed to be more liberal than us? Not when it comes to sex, it seems. The Television Bureau of Canada (guess their version of our FCC) has banned a sultry TV ad for Chanel's Le Rouge Rogue Allure, a lipstick. Inspired by the 1963 flm "Contempt" (AKA "Le Mepris") directed by French new wave pioneer Jean Luc -Godard starring Brigette Bardot and Jack Palance, the ad recreates a memorable scene in which Bardot's character seductively asks a man what parts of her body he loves the most. You will catch the ads in Europe and on cable in the U.S. For any Canadians reading this, you can watch your banned ad here.
