29 'Sleepy Hollow' Ichabbie Moments That Made Us Forget About The Impending Apocalypse

One sign of the impending apocalypse? An ENTIRE summer without these two on our television screens.

Do you hear that? That's the sound of Sleepyheads everywhere coming out of their hiatus-slumber for the launch of a new season of the insanely addictive genre drama "Sleepy Hollow."

The TV series about small town police officer Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) and time-traveling British revolutionary Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) launches its third season Thursday on Fox. And, though much has changed for this show (we'll miss you the most, Orlando Jones), the most important element of "Sleepy Hollow" remains the same...

That's right! We're talking Ichabbie — aka the relationship between best friend witnesses Ichabod and Abbie. The bond between these two is the heart of this show and, in honor of their love-and-respect-conquers-all relationship, we're listing up our favorite Ichabbie moments from the first two season.

Here's hoping for about a million more of these feels-inducing moments in season 3...

  1. Abbie teaches Ichabod the art of yelling at umpires.

This moment is not only hilarious, but is also the first time Ichabod feels remotely at home in the 21st century. And that's because of Abbie. And baseball.

  2. All of the fist bumps.

Oh, you thought fist bumps were your thing with your best friend? Sorry! Already taken.

  3. Ichabod basically declares himself #TeamIchabbie

One of Ichabod's most helpful survival instincts? Recognizing the brilliance and competency of one Lieutenant Abbie Mills.

  4. Ichabod plans to sacrifice himself to take out Moloch.

Guys, it's their first hug. ?

  5. Abbie freaks out when Ichabod is taken into medical quarantine.

Or, you know, as much as Abbie Mills, hard-boiled stoic ever freaks out. Seriously, lady can be facing off against apocalypse-scheming demons and she barely flinches. But when some CDC dudes try to take Ichabod away to quarantine, she is not OK with it.

  6. Ichabod bows to Abbie.

A gentleman and a scholar...who understands that Abbie Mills is a goddess who must be treated with respect. Especially when she tells Ichabod things like: "You are home, Crane."

  7. Abbie gives Ichabod a Christmas stocking.

Abbie plays her cards pretty close to her chest, but she is constantly doing things to try to make Ichabod feel more at home in the modern era. This isn't a stocking, people, it's LOVE-disguised-as-a-stocking.

  8. Ichabbie plays Celebrity.

Spoiler: Ichabod is George Washington. Not to be confused with Zombie!GeorgeWashington, who also appears on this show.

  9. Ichabbie bonds over their loneliness.

Um... you guys know there is a perfect solution to this, right?

  10. Abbie tells Ichabod he belongs in Sleepy Hollow.

"Believe me when I say that you belong in Sleepy Hollow." Again, with the BELONGING. Gets me every time.

  11. Moloch tells Ichabod he will betray Abbie.

Yep, nope. Not happening. Hand, please.

  12. Ichabbie solidify their friendship.

There's no one Ichabod would rather hang out with. Best friends forever.

  13. Abbie gets Ichabod to try on modern clothes.

We watch "Sleepy Hollow" not only for the Ichabbie, but for the tips for signs of the impending apocalypse. It's like a fictional "Doomsday Preppers," but Ichabod and Abbie are trying to save other people, too.

  14. Ichabod realizes he knew Abbie's ancestor.

    Yeah, Ichabod totally ships it.

  15. They travel to purgatory.

    Desperate times call for hand-holding.

  16. Ichabod leaves Abbie in purgatory.

    And he did.

  17. Abbie bakes Ichabod a birthday cupcake.

OK, so it's technically just a shared hallucination or something. Point is: these fools totally dream about one another.

  19. Ichabod pauses his escape plan to leave Abbie a farewell message...

That doesn't record. Oh, well. It's the thought that counts, right?

  20. Abbie and Ichabod are reunited in purgatory.

Sure, it might only be a trans-dimensional Skype call, but these two are SO happy to see one another, it melts our "Sleepy Hollow"-loving hearts.

  21. Ichabbie does karaoke.

New "Sleepy Hollow" edict: every episode must include a karaoke scene.

  22. Abbie laughs at Ichabod trying cappuccino.

    What a goofball.

  23. Abbie almost drowns.

When Ichabod's ex-betrothed comes back to haunt Sleepy Hollow, Abbie almost drowns. We all realize Ichabod doesn't know CPR.

  24. Ichabbie does yoga together.

    Presented without comment.

  25. Abbie "teaches" Ichabod how to drive.

But, really, Ichabod has secretly already learned how to drive from Jenny, and uses the opportunity to totally mess with Abbie's head.

  26. Ichabbie goes to an open house together.

Abbie to Ichabod: "Maybe I could afford property if I weren't paying all of your bills." Can we talk about all of the gender role subversion that is going on in this moment? Oh, we have to get to the next Ichabbie moment? Right...

  27. Past-Ichabod trusts Abbie.

When Abbie travels back through time with Katrina to try to stop Ichabod's wife from killing her husband before he can ever travel to the present, she has a tall order. There's no reason why Past-Ichabod should trust her... But he does. Because Ichabbie transcends time and space.

  28. Abbie wishes Past-Ichabod goodbye.

Abbie might not always wear her heart on her sleeve, but you better believe she's going in for the hug when the fate of everything she holds most dear — Ichabod, included — is up in the air.

  29. Ichabod chooses Abbie.

In the season finale, Ichabod must choose between killing Katrina and saving Abbie's life. He did have a choice, something he recognizes himself after-the-fact. He chooses Abbie.

  30. This hug.

Oh, right. This moment hasn't actually aired yet. But that doesn't mean the season 3 promotional vid hug isn't already one of our favorite Ichabbie moments. And, yes, it totally gets extra points for being the only new Ichabbie moment we've had in months and months.

Is it 9 p.m. on Thursday yet? Nope. Well, then, if you need me, I'll be watching Ichabbie fanvids. Later, Sleepyheads.
