Here's How New 'Daily Show' Host Trevor Noah Would Cover Kanye West's Campaign

Will he earn his endorsement?

We know the 2016 election is the one that's just revving up into full swing, but it's hard not to think about how alluring the 2020 election is, what with Kanye's big announcement and all.

For those who haven't come out from under their rock for air, Kanye West closed his Video Vanguard Award speech at the 2015 Video Music Awards by announcing that he would run for president in 2020. Hail to the Yeezy, and all that.

So how would new "Daily Show" host Trevor Noah cover Ye's campaign?

"I would definitely say Kanye West would have a tough time with people digging into his history to look at the things that he has said," Noah said. "The Taylor Swift thing is going to come up."

And how about those Kardashian connections and the backlog of music we have access to?

"We'll look at how his music changed from street hip-hop to more presidential hip-hop," he said.

Trevor Noah makes his big debut as "Daily Show" host tonight (September 28). We'll have to wait and see whether he tosses his endorsement to Kanye.
