Earlier this month, Troye Sivan kicked off his "Blue Neighbourhood" trilogy of music videos with the gripping visual for “Wild.” That vid introduced us to a beautiful but ultimately tense narrative in which Troye struck up an intimate relationship with a childhood friend.
Now, the YouTube sensation and singer-songwriter has premiered the second part of the series with “Fools,” another track from his recently released Wild EP. It picks up right where we left off, with the star-crossed lovers sharing a steamy kiss. But things quickly take a violent turn after the alcoholic, homophobic father of Troye’s lover threatens their relationship. What follows is a heartbreaking confrontation between the seemingly doomed couple as Troye sings about being a fool for falling so hard.
To add tragedy on top of heartbreak, the end of the clip also offers a sneak peek at the third and final video in the series — and it looks like Troye’s headed to a funeral. Yep, we’re definitely in for a weepy conclusion with this one.
How do you think the trilogy will end? Let us know your predictions in the comments!
