'Black Mirror': Get Ready To Pig Out On 12 Brand New Episodes

Add this one to your to-be-binge-watched list for 2016.

"Black Mirror," the best (and possibly only) TV series ever to depict a British politician being blackmailed into doing unspeakable things to a farm animal (other than the news, of course), will be back with a big new collection of bizarre horror stories for the digital age.

Netflix announced today that it has commissioned twelve new episodes of "Black Mirror" to be released exclusively on its platform, with series creator Charlie Brooker and executive producer Annabel Jones staying on as showrunners.

The anthology series first aired on English television in 2011, for two seasons that comprised seven episodes total.

Its storylines are dark daydreams about the potential uses (and misuses) of technology, exploring everything from the dangers of digitally documenting our lives, to the mob mentality that creates major scandals out of minor missteps on social media, to... well, that thing with the pig.

Production will begin on the new episodes later this year, so there's no information yet about what subject matter they'll tackle or when they'll be released, but a teensy teaser promo announcing the third season makes clever use of that behind-the-ear implant from "The Entire History of You."
