Why Is There A Creepy Clown Hanging With Zac Efron And Chloë Moretz?

He's up to something.

Zac Efron and Chloë Grace Moretz had some pretty freaky company on the set of "Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising" on Wednesday (Sept. 23).

Actor Ike Barinholtz -- whom you might remember as Seth Rogen's wild and highly inappropriate pal Jimmy in the first movie -- was on set with the stars today and shared a pair of selfies while donning a creepy clown costume.

Which is kind of in keeping with the nature of his character who doled out two of the most GASP jokes of the entire movie last time.

Here's Ike with Zac on the set, and to stay in character, he totally made a mom burn in the caption by writing, "So good to catch up with my son. Even though things didn't work out with me and his mom I miss him and am proud of him."

Meanwhile, here he is with a confused AF-looking Chloë, with a background that definitely looks like some kind of outdoor Greek Life fair.

SCREAM. Considering the pervy nature of Barinholtz's character (not to be confused with the actor IRL, of course), we don't expect that he should be hanging out with the college sorority girl crowd, and especially not when he's dressed like THAT. We shudder to even ~think~ about what's happening here with this guy's return.

Nope. Nope. Nope.

"Neighbors 2" will hit theaters on May 20, 2016.
