Finally, Lorde is back!
But it's not a full-on club banger. Lorde and the brother duo -- Guy and Howard Lawrence -- struck a great balance by incorporating both of their sounds.
While her voice is woven into electronic beats, Lorde, who hasn't released a song since 2014's "Yellow Flicker Beat" off the "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" soundtrack, keeps her distinct sound as she sings about leaving inhibitions behind and leaving the "point of no return."
"I never really felt bad about it/ As we drive deep from the light/ 'Cause I felt mounting magnets babe/ The second I saw you through half shut eyes," she sings.
"We've performed with her once at the Brit Awards, so we knew she was great and really nice, so we were obviously completely up for it when we got the call," Disclosure recently told us of the collaboration. "She's a proper artist, a proper writer, she's super involved. She's a perfectionist so it's not just Lorde singing on a Disclosure record, it was a proper collaboration from scratch."
And that's exactly the process that they go through with all of the artists that they collaborated with on this project, which include Sam Smith, Miguel and The Weeknd.
"When we get in the studio with a singer, we don't have anything prepared. We won't ever send beats around and get songs sent back," they said. "We always write in a room around a piano in a really kind of old fashion way, and whoever is the singer kind of becomes part of the band for the day."
