Now that Disney's announced its intentions to create a new live-action "Mary Poppins" film, people are buzzing over who will end up in the lead as the kind, mysterious British nanny. The Internet has their favorite already, and so does Disney according to the current movie gossip, but who else would be good for the part?

According to some rumors, she's already the name to beat -- Disney is reportedly in talks with the actress and she appears to be their top pick. We loved her in "Into The Woods,"and she is actually British, which might be important.

You might not know this actress unless you're a big musical theater fan, but she originated the role of Mary Poppins in both the West End and Broadway productions -- so you KNOW she can sing "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" in her sleep at this point.

Lucy Liu

After being Sherlock Holmes' partners for a few seasons on "Elementary," she's good at getting people to do what she wants -- and I bet she can pull off a convincing British accent too.
