"The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder and former "Twilight" actress Nikki Reed may have only tied the knot -- in broad daylight! -- a few months back, but the giddy-in-love actor tells Entertainment Tonight that he's already prepped to expand their family... beyond the farm of dogs and cats, of course.

“Oh, hell yes! Absolutely,” Somerhalder said, when asked if he was ready to become a dad. “You know, it’s all about practice; it's all about practice. It's not practice makes perfect -- it's perfect practice.”

So, in other words, Somerhalder and Reed are having a lot of sex. Good for them!

"It's a pretty crazy time and place to bring a child into this turbulent, insane world, but I really can't wait to do it, and I really just love it," the charitable actor continued.

Here's to hoping that this non-vampire baby comes to fruition pretty soon, so Candice Accola's kid will have someone to play with on "The Vampire Diaries" season eight set. (Because come on, season eight is totally happening.) But in the meantime, he's a rough sketch on what Reed and Smolder-holder's baby will look like:
