This Tide Commercial Is A Hilarious Reminder That Not All 'Church Ladies' Are Like Kim Davis

This one is MUCH more evolved.

Tide (yes, the laundry detergent brand) and its parent company Proctor and Gamble made a statement in official support of marriage equality last year (joining lots of other major brands), and then made some headlines by featuring a cute gay couple in a Canadian commercial. Now they're poking fun at marriage equality haters like Kim Davis in a new commercial for Tide To Go that features a hilarious twist.

The scene opens with middle-aged Church lady halting a gay couple on their way to their wedding in front of the chapel. "How offensive!" she says, "I won't let you blemish the sanctity of marriage!" The couple starts to argue...but then she busts out her Tide pen. Watch:
