Emma Watson doesn't mind rolling up her sleeves and getting stuff done; she played the meticulously minded Hermione Granger in "Harry Potter," after all, and her work with HeForShe at the U.N. is certainly no joke. Now she's getting a chance to show off her determination in a new movie where she basically stages a prison break. How's that for badass?
In her new film "Colonia," Watson and Daniel Brühl play two lovers in the midst of a 1973 Chilean military coup; when Daniel (Brühl) is abducted and taken to a religious cult from which no one ever escapes, Lena (Watson) must disguise herself as a believer to infiltrate the cult and get him back.
The film premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival this week, but for those of us who can't make it to Canada, Emma Watson released the first ever trailer on her Facebook page today (September 14). There's no U.S. release date in sight, but on the plus side, that gives us time to mentally prepare for an incredible harrowing movie. Seriously, did this trailer give anyone else shivers? Just me?
