Though "Orange is the New Black" star Ruby Rose made a whole lot of headlines this summer for her burgeoning friendship with her lookalike Justin Bieber, it's actress-slash-LGBTQ icon Ellen Page who is her *real celeb BFF. Rose posted a whole gaggle of sweet, supportive, and a little bit gushy Instagrams from the the Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday night (September 14), where Page was out promoting her new drama with Julianne Moore, "Freeheld."
"When your best friend is the most talented, funny, beautiful, generous, humble human being it's hard to not smile until it hurts," Rose captioned the first pic. "Ellen, I am so proud of you and will always be grateful for everything you are and will always be to me. @ellenpage"
Page plays the partner of Moore's character, the real-life LGBTQ advocate (and New Jersey police officer) Laurel Hester, in the eagerly anticipated film. Page's girlfriend Samantha Thomas also hit the Toronto premiere, and joined the best friend duo for a group shot that the Penguins of Madagascar would give two flippers up.
"When you're not sure if you're a YSL Campaign or really stylish waiters," Rose joked.
(*Don't get too down about all this, Biebs. You know what the Girl Scouts say -- make new friends, and keep the old?)
