Emily Blunt is a certified badass woman. With expertise from her various actiony movie roles, she probably knows how to break a person eight ways from Sunday. She also has range: she spat all your favorite lines from "The Devil Wears Prada," but she also did murder yoga with Tom Cruise in "Edge of Tomorrow." The one role Blunt hasn't played yet is Marvel superhero.

With her skill-set, past resume and general badassery, it's no wonder Blunt's name keeps coming up when it comes to playing the much-discussed Captain Marvel.

While at Toronto International Film Festival promoting her upcoming film "Sicario," Blunt told MTV News exactly where she's at with those rumors: nowhere.

"It's crazy," she said. "I've not had a phone call about it. Not one whisper of Captain Marvel has come my way. Promise."

Promise promise?

"Promise promise. I don't even know who Captain Marvel is!"
